Varun Sharma

Varun Sharma is known for his roles in the films Fukrey and Chhichhore. He is also popular for his supporting comic roles in many Hindi and Punjabi films. Varun Sharma had first made his debut with Fukrey, directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and the film emerged as a commercial success with a box office earnings of 49 crores, worldwide. 

Varun Sharma has appeared in Dolly Ki Doli, a romantic comedy by Abhishek Dogra and Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoo,n co-starring with Kapil Sharma. He was also in Rohit Shetty’s action romantic film Dilwale alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Varun Dhawan with Kajol and Kriti Sanon. The film did extremely well at the Box office as one of the highest grossing releases. His supporting role in the film was much appreciated. He also starred alongside late Sushant Singh Rajput in the film Raabta, a reincarnation film of 2017 by Dinesh Vijan. The film had received a lot of negative responses from critics and had flopped at the box office.

Varun then starred in the sequel of Fukrey and Fukrey Returns, which were a box office success and worldwide grossed at 1 billion USD.

Varun Sharma appeared next alongside Govinda in the comedy film FryDay and Arjun Patiala alongside Diljit Dosanjh and Sanon. He acted in Khandaani Shafakhana starring Sonakshi Sinha and Badsha, and Chhichhore alongside Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor. 

In 2020, Varun Sharma hosted Flipkart Video’s on OTT streaming platform, a comedy show called Sab Se Funny Kaun. 

He was also in the film Roohi, directed by Hardik Mehta, which was produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films. In this film, he co-starred with Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor. The film was released in 2021.

He was last seen in Bollywood’s Wild Wild Punjab as actor Simarpreet Singh in 2024. He had also acted in Cirkus in 2023 and Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon.
