As Akhandanand Tripathi’s trusted aide, Abhishek Banerjee was fascinating as the compounder in midst of a chaos. He operates with efficiency always in control. He has the chilling sense of loyalty that made him compelling and despite the limited screen time, Abhishek as the Compounder left a lingering presence proving that sometimes silence can be more powerful than with dialogues.
Circuit, essayed by Arshad Warsi was the emotional backbone of Munnabhai essayed by Sanjay Dutt. As Circuit his role stood by with fierce loyalty, and unintentional hilarious he was street smart who balanced comedy with a soft heart in a way that seemed so effortless. Arshad Warsi brought the warmth and sincerity in his role who added the depth to the story of Munnabhai and overtime he is also become a beloved of the audience and often remembered Circuit is remembered as a hero.
Jaideep Ahlawat as Hathiram Chaudhary in Paatal Lok
Hathiram Chaudhary isn’t a typical hero he has his flaws, that is overlooked but is quite a resilient person who brings a raw authenticity to the role. He plays the cop navigating his own personal struggles due to which he has his own complex. What makes Hathiram so compelling is because of his grounded nature. Jaideep Ahlawat is persistent and works on his own instincts. Over a period of time his journey unfolds from an under appreciated officer to someone who has to face the harsh realities of the system that brings about the turning point in his character. The audience loved the transformation.
Pankaj Tripathi created quite a stir in the character that feels like he has lived in and its unforgettable. As Sultan, he is quirky grounded and is unintentionally humorous. But he has grabbed the attention with his ability by adding his own nuance even with the brief appearance and a handful of scenes, he has made himself noticed that made Sultan stand out in a film packed with larger-than-life personalities. Pankaj Tripathi is truly a classic example of how small role if performed well can leave a massive impact beyond the protagonist role.
Varun Sharma as Choocha in Fukrey
Varun Sharma could have been just another side kick as Choocha in the film Fukrey. However, his childlike innocence, bizarre dream-based predictions and his unfiltered honesty made him the soul of the film. He was a character that created the hilarious and endearing scenes and Choocha naturally fitted into the story and overtime he became the emotional anchor to the group making the audience and fans root for him beyond the laughs that he garnered with also their applaud.
