Umar Qaid (1975)

Umar Qaid is a 1975 film produced by V. K. Sobti for Gautam Pictures banner and was directed by Sikandar Khanna. Featuring in the film are Sunil Dutt, Jeetendra, Vinod Mehra, Moushmi Chatterjee, Reena Roy in the lead roles . The film is of a custom officer who is sentenced to a life time imprisonment allegedly charged for the murder of a smuggler. He escapes the jail with another convict to avenge the brutal rape and murder of his sister. The story moves on with the real culprit who admits being guilty and he helps the jail mate to be honorably get united with his family.
