Vanara is an upcoming Telugu film that effortlessly mixes Action, Drama, and Mythology into a superb reptilian saga. Avinash Thiruveedhula directs the film, and he plays the main character, too. The cast features Simran Chaudhary and Shree Nandu as the main antagonist, along with the so-called "mighty" writer-producer Kona Venkat. The production promises a fresh take on classic themes, grounding an epic conflict in a contemporary setting.

The legend is about a member of the ancient Vanara clan. The hero's life becomes a tragedy when a powerful enemy, who is compared to the demon-king Ravana, steals the hero's most prized possession, a bike that he uses for the election rally unfairly. At first, this little theft seems to lead the hero only to a petty injustice, but it actually brings him to a fight, for the sake of his self-respect and dignity, which is fierce and necessary. The main idea of the saga is to show how the age-old battle of good and evil still goes on, now focusing on the defending of honour against the forces of arrogance and power.

Vanara is set to hit the screens on April 17, 2026, and will be mainly released in theatres for the Telugu-speaking audience. The film is going to be an efficient way to experience the Indian cinematic world, consisting of rather good-looking action and very strong drama performances. It can also be expected that we would be witnessing a mythological twist on a modern action-drama, where the hero's main objective is to restore his dignity, even if he has to come face-to-face with the most impossible odds.
