Yamraaj (1998)

Two petty thieves Birju, played by Mithun Chakraborty and Kishan, played by Jackie Shroff dream of becoming powerful and wealthy like their mentor Yamraaj, played by Gulshan Grover. They commit a lot of crimes and start going to the top of their game. Somewhere Kishan’s conscience questions his acts and he decides to quit his life of crime, but not before he kills an honest and valiant police officer named Hamid Khan. Kishan leaves the life of blood and gore while Birju continues to seek the path of power and money. This differences in opinions creates a huge rift between the two friends and they go their separate ways. Birju keeps moving up in the criminal world while Kishan seriously loathes the life and repents for all that he has done. The movie is directed and produced by Rajiv Babbar. The star cast includes Mink Singh, Kiran Kumar, Gulshan Grover, Ashish Vidyarthi, Altaf Raja, Prem Chopra and Parveen Saba. The music is composed by Anand Milind and the lyrics are written by Dev Kohli.
