Aamir Khan Spoke About Bollywood Industry's Struggles

One of the legendary actor Aamir Khan, has highly criticized the filmmakers of the industry because they somehow 'forgot their roots' and this is the major reason why Hindi films fail to perform well at the box office in comparison to the South Indian Cinema.

While addressing the film festival titled, 'Aamir Khan: Cinema Ka Jaadugar' which celebrated the legacy of his memorable and valuable contributions to the cinema.

When he was asked by Javed Akhtar, a seasoned lyricist and screenwriter who asked him a question, 'Why South Films are working in theatres while Hindi Films are struggling?' to which Aamir answered, 'One of the reasons for this could be because the writers and filmmakers in the industry have been severely trying to cater to a specific niche of audiences and might have forgotted to stick to their roots.'

Currently, Javed Akhtar and Aamir Khan are working together on their upcoming film titled 'Lahore 1947' which may release this year.
