A stunning haveli that belonged to a Hindu family who fled to India after reaching Lahore is given to them. However, their new lives take an emotionally charged turn when they discover an elderly Hindu woman still living in the house, navigating a world full of mistrust, anxiety, and sorrow.

The family must confront the moral complexities of displacement by striking a balance between hospitality and hostility, sympathy and prejudice. Later, the film’s climax goes on to kick off in a grand and reportedly breaking train sequence that depicts the mass migrations across the nascent borders.
