Abhishek Banerjee Starrer Vakeel Babu Gets Selected For New York Indian Film Festival 2022

Bollywood actor Abhishek Banerjee has showed his versatility in every role that he has taken up. Be it in horror comedy Stree or the crime series Mirzapur, his performances have always packed a punch. The talented actor is now all set to showcase a different avatar in the upcoming short film Vakeel Babu, where he plays the lead. The film has been selected for the New York Indian Film Festival 2022 and the team couldn’t be more proud. 

 

Abhishek shared the incredible news on his social media page with the film’s poster and wrote, “Happy to share that our Film is travelling places ❤️❤️ Presenting our latest film - Vakeel Babu! We're so excited to share the poster for our recent short film, #VakeelBabu.” He further added, “Emerging from in-depth, on-ground research on the legal challenges for victims of gender-based violence (GBV), #VakeelBabu aims to drive conversation on the essential role lawyers play in the lives of clients seeking justice against gender-based violence, specifically domestic violence.

In the poster, the actor can be seen taking a selfie in his lawyer attire. The film is directed by Sumit Purohit of Scam 1992 fame and also stars Bhamini Oza Gandhi, and Lovleen Mishra.
