Suniel Shetty is gearing up to step into the shoes of a fearless warrior, Vegda Ji, in his upcoming historical drama film, Kesari Veer: Legends Of Somnath. In the film, Suniel Shetty will share the screen for the first time with Vivek Oberoi and Sooraj Pancholi. The film will mark Akanksha Sharma’s debut, and Prince Dhiman will direct it.

Suniel Shetty's Blunt Take

During the recently held trailer launch event, the legendary actor spoke about telling a story about India’s historical warrior and opined on how the Indian curriculum teaches more about Aurangzeb, Akbar and others rather than teaching about the Indian warriors. The actor said, ‘They haven’t taught us about our history in schools or colleges. They’ve taught us more about Aurangzeb, Akbar and Birbal but not about our heroes.

I think that the time has now come to tell these untold stories. The audiences have changed. There are multiple mediums through which these stories can reach them, till the last mile, until the last user. I believe that we've forgotten that there is an audience that craves to watch these kinds of films. We have twenty-eight states and seven union territories, and each state and union territory has its own story.'
