Ajay Devgn begins third schedule of Maidaan

The cast and crew of the sports drama Maidaan are all set to begin filming their third schedule of Maidaan in Lucknow. Lead actor Ajay Devgn will step into the shoes of the football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, in the highly anticipated film. Under the leadership of the coach, the Indian football team managed to win the Asain Games in  1951 as well as 1962. From Lucknow, the team will move on to Kolkatta, for a month-long shoot.

 

Maidaan is directed by Amit Sharma, who has also written the screenplay. The film is produced by Boney Kapoor. The music of the film is composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Meet Bros and Sajid-Wajid. The film will also mark the Bollywood debut of South Indian actress Keerthy Suresh.
