Akshay Kumar And Anees Bazmee Team Up For A Family Comedy Film.
Akshay Kumar and Anees Bazmee will come together for the family comedy film that is expected to go on floors in February 2026.
Recently the superstar received appreciation for his incredible performance in Sky Force and Kesari Chapter 2 and for his comic timing in Housefull 5 and Jolly LLB 3 this year.
Speculations on the actor reuniting with Anees Bazmee is for a double role comedy Drama titled Ram Aur Shyam. He is also with Anees Bazmee for his new project which is fresh family comedy drama. The untitled film is being produced by veteran Telugu film producer Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations.
The actor has also teamed up with the renowned director with whom he has had past collaborations. The casting for the female lead and the supporting star cast of the hallmark of Anees Bazmee’s work is now underway.
The upcoming family comedy drama will mark its fourth collaboration between Bazmee and the super star. The two have previously worked together in films such as Welcome in 2007, Singh is Kinng in 2008 and Thank you in 2011. They are coming together after 15 years for the upcoming collaboration. !!

The actor is once again reuniting with Priyadarshan in three films Bhooth Bangla, Haiwaan and Hera Pheri 3 with the films slated to hit the big screen in 2026. The actor has also signed up for the film Welcome To The Jungle which is in the pipeline and now his new collaboration with Anees Bazmee .
The film is currently in pre-production and the shooting is expected to commence from February 2026.
The director Priyadarshan’s last release was Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 released in 2024 has planned a new project No Entry 2 starring Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Arjun Kapoor which has been reportedly been put on a back burner.
Fans are excited and delighted that Akshay Kumar is all set to roll out his films in the 2026 and 2027 with the impressive partnership with his popular directors such as Priyadarshan and Anees Bazmee.
