The third installment of the beloved comedy franchise “Hera Pheri” has hit a rough patch after veteran actor Paresh Rawal, known for his iconic role as Babu Bhaiya, decided to exit the project. His departure came as a shock to fans and co-stars alike. Rawal confirmed the news, stating that he no longer felt connected to the project and had made a final decision to step away for the time being.
This unexpected move has led to a legal
confrontation. According to media reports, Akshay Kumar’s production team has
filed a case against Rawal, accusing him of breaching his agreement. The legal
notice reportedly seeks ₹25 crore in damages, citing contractual violations.
Speaking at the promotional event for
“Housefull 5”, Akshay Kumar addressed the controversy with respect and clarity.
He dismissed any negative remarks about Rawal, saying, “He is a phenomenal
actor and a long-time friend. We’ve worked together for over three decades. I
would never call him foolish. The issue is serious and will now be addressed by
the court.”
Priyadarshan, the original director of
“Hera Pheri”, also expressed disappointment over not being informed about
Rawal's departure. However, he has confirmed that he remains committed to
directing “Hera Pheri 3” and had earlier announced his return to the franchise
on his birthday.
Suniel Shetty, who played Shyam in the
original films, expressed concern over the sudden developments. He said he was
unaware of the reasons behind the cast changes and plans to meet with producer
Firoz Nadiadwala to understand the situation better.
With legal battles looming and uncertainty
clouding the production, the future of “Hera Pheri 3” hangs in the balance.
Fans are hopeful that the beloved trio of Raju (Akshay Kumar), Shyam (Suniel
Shetty), and Babu Bhaiya (Paresh Rawal) will return to deliver the magic once
