Akshay Kumar Starrer Ram Setu Cancels Shoot In Sri Lanka, Will Now Be Shot In Daman

After wrapping up a major portion in Ooty, team Ram Setu was to continue shooting for the film’s climax in Sri Lanka. However, that is now changed and the same will be Shot in Daman instead. This is due to permission issues in the country. The film has also been significantly delayed due to many crew members including lead actor Akshay Kumar having tested positive for the corona virus earlier. The film also stars Nushrratt Bharuccha and Jacqueline Fernandez in leading roles.

Ram Setu is based on the mythical tale of how the underwater bridge originated. Akshay Kumar will essay the role of an archeologist in the film. He has also done a lot of action sequences including deep sea diving. The film is directed by Abhishek Sharma of Parmanu fame. The film will hit the big screens on Diwali 2022. Kumar was last seen in Sooryavanshi and will next be seen in Bachchan Pandey and Raksha Bandhan.
