Some reports were claiming that Akshay Kumar charged Rs 35 crore for 'OMG 2'. But the producer has said that Akshay didn't take a single rupee. Also told how much risk Akshay took in making this film.

Recently there were reports that Akshay Kumar has taken a fee of Rs 25 crore for his latest release 'OMG 2'. It was also being claimed that the budget of the film is Rs 150 crore. But both these reports are false, and there is no truth in them. What is the reality, it has now been told by the producer of 'Oh My God 2', Ajit Andhare. Along with this, he has also revealed about the fees of other cast of the film and its real budget.

OMG 2, directed by Amit Rai, was released on August 11 along with Sunny Deol starrer 'Gadar 2'. Amidst the stupendous collection of 'Gadar 2' and its tsunami, 'OMG 2' is standing firm, and is earning well. People are liking the film. The film has earned Rs 79.47 crore in India in six days of its release. Whereas worldwide it has earned a gross of Rs 108.80 crore.

After crossing the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide, 'OMG 2' is now heading towards this club across the country as well. Meanwhile, the producer of the film has reacted to the claims floating on social media that Akshay has taken a fee of Rs 35 crore and the budget of the film is Rs 150 crore.

Akshay Kumar did not take the fee, the producer told the reason

Ajit Andhare told that Akshay Kumar has not taken even a single rupee for OMG 2. Rather, the actor stood by the makers of the film in the financial and creative level of risk involved in making this film. Ajit Pandhare said, 'We and Akshay have a long association together and mutual understanding. OMG', 'Special 26' and understand each other from the time of 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha'. I have always stood by Akshay for scripts that are out-of-the-box, yet big and meaningful. It would have been impossible to take this risk without Akshay. He was financially and creatively actively involved in this film (OMG 2).

This is the budget of 'OMG 2'

Ajit Pandhare also said that the news of the budget of 'OMG 2' has been exaggerated. The budget of the film is not Rs 150 crore. A source told that 'OMG 2' is made in a budget of less than 50 crores. The first part of the film i.e. 'Oh My God' was made for Rs 25 crore. 'OMG 2' also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam. The film deals with the issue of sex education, and was given an A certificate.
