Keshav is an obedient and loving son. He is brought up by his superstitious father, who gets him married to a buffalo to improve his fortune. He meets Jaya one day and falls in love with her. Soon the two get to know each other and decide to marry. However, Keshav’s father wants him to marry a girl with two thumbs on one hand as per his horoscope. To fulfill this strange request, Keshav asks Jaya to wear a fake extra thumb on her left hand. Reluctantly she agrees and they marry. On the first night after their wedding however, she is horrified to learn that there is no toilet in the house and like many other women, she will have to go to the nearby fields to relief herself. She is furious and they have an argument, where Keshav promises her he will do something about it.

One day when there is a crew shooting, he picks up their makeshift toilet and puts it in their backyard. He is arrested by the police for this however. Jaya feels humiliated but they sought out their differences. Soon Keshav thinks of an idea where a train comes to the nearby station and stops for a few minutes. He decides to take Jaya there to relieve herself. The plan works for  a few days but one day she accidentally gets locked in the toilet and by the time she is out, the train starts to move and she is unable to get off. This makes things worse in their marriage and she returns to her father’s house. She files for divorce. However soon the CM announces that toilets will be constructed throughout the village and this brings them back together.

The film is directed by Shree Narayan Singh and produced by Aruna Bhatia. The star cast includes Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar.
