Streaming platform Zee5 has given us many interesting content in the past and is now back with another. This time its a slice of life family drama with heaps of emotions and light humour titled Sutliyan: The Home Coming. The series stars Ayesha Raza, Shiv Pandit, Vivaan Shah and Plabita Borthakur of Bombay Begums fame. The official synopsis of the series says, “As they meet after years, trying to come to terms with situations, they are burdened with emotional baggage from the past and unresolved conflicts in relationships as they undergo the challenging, yet necessary journey of emotional and spiritual cleansing.” 

 

The series is directed by Shree Narayan Singh who previously helmed the Akshay Kumar starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. Sutliyan will be his debut in the digital world. Talking about the series Singh said, “I was attracted to this series for one reason – nowadays where emotions in personal life are expressed through emojis, here is a show which was real, and which makes you want to pick up the phone and call your mom or book a ticket home.” Currently in production, the series will stream on Zee5 end of this year.
