Ever since actor producer Sohum Shah officially announced the sequel of Tumbbad, he has officially joined hands with Pen Studios . The film is helmed by veteran producer Dr. Jayantilal Gada. The project is being developed as the exciting cast for the sequel is being considered.  


Akshaye Khanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are being considered for the antagonistic roles in the film.  


Tumbbad released in 2018 is one of the cult films and its 2024 re-release went on to do wonders at the box office, however the now the sequel is set to go on floors early this year . The makers are looking into expanding the dark universe with an exciting star cast.  With the mounting anticipation , the major casting of sequel’s antagonist seems to be a masterstroke with a powerful duo, as Akshaye Khanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the narrative of Tumbbad 2.

The Tumbbad released in 2018 with Sohum Shah who portrayed Vinayak Rao , navigating through the threatening night , lantern in hand alongside of his young son still lingers in the minds of the audience . The two are seen on a dangerous journey .  The story unfolds with Vinayak Rao’s descente into greed and obsession as he seeks out a mythical treasure .
