Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan might be 79 years old, but he still holds the capacity to carry a film on his shoulders. The unstoppable Badla star will soon be seen playing the role of Vijay Barse, who was the founder of NGO Slum Soccer in the upcoming film Jhund. The film is directed by Marathi director Nagraj Popatrao Manjule, who will be making his Bollywood debut with this film. He is known for his films like Sairat and Fandry, among others. 

 

The makers of Jhund have finally announced its release date. The sports drama will release theatrically on 4th March 2022. The film also stars Marathi actors Akash Thosar and Rinku Rajguru. The story of Jhund revolves around a professor who encourages street children to form a football team and trains them. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Raaj Hiremath, Savita Raj Hiremath, Nagraj Manjule, Gargee Kulkarni and Meenu Aroraa under the banner of T-Series, Tandav Films Entertainment & Aatpat. Amitabh Bachchan will next be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra and Ajay Devgn’s Runway 34.
