Anil Sharma Working On Sequel To Gadar Starring Ameesha Patel And Sunny Deol

Filmmaker Anil Sharma gave us the cult movie Gadar: Ek Prem Katha in 2001. The film saw Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel for the first time on screen. The story of cross border love struck a cord with the audience and the film was a blockbuster and one of the most memorable movies ever. Now 20 years later, the makers are planning a sequel that will retain the original leading roles. The film will also star the director’s son Utkarsh who was seen as the leading couple’s son Jeeta. Sharma said he has the plot in mind for Gadar 2 and is working on the script. 

Meanwhile Anil Sharma is working on Apne 2 which will star Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Dharmendra as well as Karan Deol. The film will focus on family love. The filmmaker felt that during the lockdown we all have realised the importance of family and belonging thus hos story for the film will focus on that.
