Veteran actor Anupam Kher has officially completed his shooting for the much awaited romantic musical family drama Yeh Prem Mol Liya.   Directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya, Kher marked the occasion with an emotional post on social media. The veteran actor shared behind the scenes photos and videos from the film’s set while he expressed his gratitude to the makers for letting him be a part of the film and calling, ‘a film with a heart, grace and soul’.


Reflecting on their decade long association, Anupam Kher revealed that he has known Sooraj R. Barjatya since the time he acted in his first film Saaransh. Over the years, the duo had collaborated more than eight films together and had built a bonding that has stood the test of time.  Anupam Kher praised Sooraj Barjatya’s unique storytelling that while the cinema continues to evolve, he as the director has remained committed to celebrating bonding and Indian family values, relationship, compassion and emotions with honesty. Films that are so rarely made in the recent times as its all about crime, more misery, thriller and its beyond entertainment for families to watch together but Sooraj R. Barjatya’s films are films that go beyond just entertainment it becomes an inseparable part of the audience lives . They are films where audience can resonate with.

Describing Yeh Prem Mol Liya, Anupam Kher further shared that the story has touched his heart from the time he heard the narrative.  He thanked the entire star cast of the film and the crew members for making this journey memorable and said he looks forward to the audience experiencing the film’s magic on the big screen very soon. 


His post also received an emotional response from Anupam Kher’s niece Vrinda Kher that he always appeared the happiest doing a film with Sooraj Bharatjya . Agreeing to her observation the veteran actor replied warmly that she was absolutely right.  


Produced by Rajshri Productions in association with Mahaveer Jain Films, the film stars Ayushmann Khurrana as the iconic Prem in the film alongside Sharvari , marking their first time together on-screen pairing.


Yeh Prem Mol Liya features music by Himesh Reshammiya and the release in the theatres is slated for November 27th 2026.
