Sharvari Wagh

Sharvari after she had made her debut as an assistant director for Luv Ranjan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali in 2015 she had started her career in acting with the debut in the war drama series, The Forgotten Army – Azaadi Ke Liye in 2020 helmed by Kabir Khan.

She then ventured into films with her debut film,  Bunty Aur Babli 2 by Yash Raj Films in 2021 and won the Filmfare Award for the Best Female Debut and IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year. However, her breakthrough came with the commercially successful comedy horror film Muniya in 2024 which was inspired from a Maharashtrian folktale by Maddock Horror Comedy Universe.

Sharvari also had a brief role in a special appearance opposite debutante Junaid Khan in Yash Raj Film’s period drama, Maharaj, a production that was delayed and later released on Netflix.  Sharvari played a title role of a Dalit Woman in the action drama Vedaa costarring John Abraham, which had received mixed reviews.

Sharvari Wagh will next join alongside Alia Bhatt in Alpha. Bobby Deol plays the role of primary antagonist.  The first female led film by Yash Raj Films Spy Universe. The film was originally announced for a release in December 2025, but the film is postponed and now slated for its new release date is April 17th 2026 Directed by Shiv Rawail the delay was reportedly due to the extensive VFX work that the Spy universe with high cinematic standards.

Sharvari is also playing a romantic lead opposite Vedang Raina and Diljit Dosanjh in Imtiaz Ali’s romantic drama Main Vapas Aaunga to be released in June 2026.

Before she attained stardom, Sharvari worked as an assistant director on films like Bajirao Mastani and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Pyaar Ka Punchnama.
