Fans of Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma have been missing her on the bog screen since she was last seen in the debacle Zero opposite Shah Rukh Khan in 2018. The Sultan actress was however supposed to make her comeback with cricketer Jhulan Goswami’s biopic titled Chakdah Express. That film unfortunately faced several setbacks due to the pandemic and Sharma’s pregnancy and got delayed. The shooting for the biopic was to begin this month but looks like the PK actress has backed out from the project.

Anushka’s loss is Bulbbul actress Tripti Dimri’s gain, as she has been signed in to play the lead. The NH10 actress will however be associated with the project as she is co-producing the film with Sony Pictures India. Chakdah Express is directed by Prosit Roy, who previously helmed the horror film Pari starring Sharma. The film will directly have a Netflix release and go on floors in the first quarter of 2022.
