Ayushmann Khurrana And Ananya Panday Starrer 'Dream Girl 2' Gets New Release Date.

Around 4 years ago Ayushmann Khurrana played the character of Pooja and enthralled the audience with his film 'Dream Girl' which went on to earn a whopping Rs 200 crore at the box office.

After the stupendous success of the film, the actor has got a chance to work on the sequel in 2022. At that time, the team had slated a July 2023 release. But, as per the latest post by the actor, the release of the film has now been pushed to 25th August 2023.

Today Ayushmann took to Instagram to announce the new date. The reason for the delay is said to be the extensive VFX work. Ayushmann plays two different roles of Pooja and Karam in the film and the team is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that she looks comfortable and confident as Pooja.

Speaking about the decision, Ektaa R Kapoor, Joint Managing Director - Balaji Telefilms Limited, said, "We want Ayushmann Khurrana's character to look perfect as Pooja in Dream Girl 2, and that's why we are taking extra time to perfect the VFX work for the face. We want to ensure that our viewers get the best possible experience when they watch the movie. The VFX work for Dream Girl 2 is an integral part of the movie, and we want to ensure that we deliver a high-quality product to our audiences."

For Dream Girl 2, Ayushmann has been paired opposite Ananya Panday while Raaj Shaandilyaa is again directing the film.
