Ayushmann Khurrana Keen To Play Olympics Gold Medalist Neeraj Chopra, In His Biopic

Bollywood firebrand Ayushmann Khurrana has portrayed a wide range of roles in his movie career. The Andhadhun actor has now showed interest in essaying the role of real life athlete Neeraj Chopra who brought India gold in the javelin throw sport in 2020 Tokyo Olympics, if the latter’s biopic is ever made. Khurrana in an interview stated, “I’m constantly inspired by real people who do extraordinary things. Right now, I’m hugely inspired by Neeraj Chopra and what this youth icon has achieved on the world stage and made our nation incredibly proud.” 

 

The Dream Girl actor further added, “The resolve and the nerves of steel that he showcased at the Olympics to a win gold for India needs to be saluted. I would love to play him in a biopic if it’s made in the near future and if Neeraj chooses to not play himself on screen.” Ayushmann will next be seen in Doctor G opposite Rakul Preet Singh and later in Anubhav Sinha’s Anek.
