Bhumi Pednekar To Play A Lesbian Role In Badhaai Do

Going out of her comform zone and playing very versatile characters seems to be Bhumi Pednekar’s cup of tea. The talented actress of Saand Ki Aankh will soon be seen playing anther unique role for the film Badhaai Do where she will play the role of a PT teacher who is a lesbian. The film will also star Ludo actor Rajkummar Rao who will play the role of a gay man who gets married to a girl for convenience sake. The marriage of both characters is termed as ‘lavender marriage’ where the husband and wife’s true sexual orientation is kept from everyone.

 

Badhaai Do is directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, who will be handling the sensitive topic with utmost caution, to not hurt anyone’s sentiments. It will be a light hearted comedy with some drama. The film is all set to go on floors in January 2021.
