Kartik Aaryan’s untitled Zombie thriller is directed by Vishnuvardhan as it progresses on a fast track targeting its release in the first quarter of 2027.Therefore it is potentially reaching out to the audiences before Ranveer Singh’s highly anticipated film Pralay. 


After the success of Dhurandhar, Ranveer Singh has lined a lot of hopes on Pralay, a large-scale thriller directed by debutant Jai Mehta’s son of acclaimed filmmaker Hansal Mehta.   The film is inspired from Nobel Laureate Jose Saramago’s novel Blindness. The film follows a fearless crusader battling a devastated zombie outbreak. 


Mounted on a massive budget Pralay is being positioned as the Bollywood’s most ambitious projects. 


Pralay is expected to complete its productions only by the end of next year. The delay in its arrival in the theatres has got Kartik Aaryan’s Zombie entertainer is scheduled to begin its shooting by next month and is hence expected to wrap up much sooner. It will give a significant edge in introducing the genre to the main stream audiences. 


The zombie genre is gaining momentum also with Tiger Shroff’s up coming comedy directed by Ahmed Khan and it will be a sequel toe the Telugu hit film Zombie Reddy. While Bollywood has experimented in the past with zombie stories through Go Goa Gone, and Netflix serial Betaal which had not really established the genre in India.  


The audiences are now learning to embrace the hits like Train to Buscan and All of Us Ae Dead. The filmmakers believe in the right moment to determine the stars and deliver the Bollywood’s first true zombie
