On Wednesday, the film ‘Homebound,’ which stars Ishaan Khatter, Janhvi Kapoor, and Vishal Jethwa, was recently screened at the seventy-eighth edition of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. The main highlight of the film’s premiere was that it received a nine-minute standing ovation from the audience. The filmmakers took to their official Instagram handle, wherein they shared an emotional video with a caption, ‘9 minutes of pure love & applause! 🤌 Team Homebound receiving all the appreciation at @festivaldecannes!’

About Homebound

A report by Variety states that the film ‘Homebound’ follows the lives of two childhood friends from a small North Indian village who seek a police job, believing it will provide them with the dignity they have been denied for a long time. But as they inch closer to their dream, a mounting desperation begins to threaten their bond that holds them together.

Also, the legendary filmmaker Martin Scorsese joined the film as an executive producer.
