Chhaava Controversial Lezim Dance Featuring Vicky Kaushal And Rashmika Mandana Removed

In lieu of the controversy and objection raised against the lezim dance in the upcoming movie Chhaava, the makers have removed the song, which is deemed not historically correct.
The scene which created while spread backlash featured the king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj (Vicky Kaushal) and Queen Yesubai (Rashmika Mandanna) performing a Lezim dance.
Director Laxman Utekar met Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) after discussing the issue with chief Raj Thackeray announced that the Lezim dance sequence would be deleted from the film. He said “He gave us valuable suggestions. We had no intention to hurt anyone's sentiments, but if the scene has caused offence, we will remove it."
Utekar added, "The Lezim dance is not a significant part of the film, so deleting it won’t affect the narrative. We wanted his advice because he is well-read and knowledgeable about history, especially regarding Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj."
