Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone to Reunite in Action-Thriller 'King'

The iconic Om Shanti Om duo have been signed in for the action-packed thriller ‘King’. The pre-production has begun with the talented Siddharth Anand. The film has big names roped in such as Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, Abhay Verma. The exciting news is it will be Suhana Khan big screen debut with her father.

Shah Rukh Khan was very clear that he wanted none other than Deepika Padukone on board for King. Deepika wasn’t ready after she had taken time off from work to be with her newborn. Deepika, considering her pregnancy and childbirth, the other two choices were Kareena Kapoor Khan or Katrina Kaif. ‘King’ schedule got delayed and Deepika could be a part of the film.

Padukone is set to make her grand return to the big screen post her pregnancy. We believe Deepika’s role in King may not be full-fledged.  She may just be an extended cameo with a shooting schedule of about 10 to 12 days only. The shooting schedule will start in October 2025. Their fans will see the magic of Om Shanti once again on screen.

Apart from the two superstars Deepika and SRK, Amitabh Bachchan will have an impactful role in the film. But we have yet to get clarity on the same, the source said. King is slated for its release between 1st October 2026 and December 31st 2026. The killer track is composed by the duo Sachin Jigar, with a background score by Anirudh. This is one film that the fans will be looking out for.
