From the minute fans saw the breezy teaser of upcoming romantic drama Gehraiyaan, they were hooked on. How can one not want to see more of that story starring Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi in the lead. The expectations for the trailer were thus high. However, just a few days before that was to unveil, there has been some unexpected disappointing development. The makers have decided to postpone the trailer launch which was to be held in Alibaug next week. This is due to the rising covid cases everywhere.

In an official statement stating this, Amazon Prime Video wrote, “Owing to the current surge in COVID-19 cases, we have decided to take an alternate route for the trailer launch of our upcoming title, Gehraiyaan. We won't be doing the trailer launch in Alibaug as originally planned. We are, however, looking forward to bringing the trailer to you.” Gehraiyaan is the story of complicated human relationships that go through its share of ups and downs in this modern world we live in. The film also stars Dhairya Karwa, Naseeruddin Shah, Rajat Kapoor and Anaaya Anand. It will stream on Amazon Prime Video on 25th January 2022. Deepika meanwhile will also be seen opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Pathan, Ananya will be seen in the Vijay Deverakonda starrer Liger while Siddharth has Phone Bhoot starring Katrina Kaif.
