Siddhant first gained recognition in the web series called ‘Inside Edge,’ and he made his Bollywood debut with the film ‘Gully Boy,’ alongside actors Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. He also had roles in ‘Gehraivaan and ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2.

In the year 2016, Siddhant had appeared in the web series on television called ‘Life Sahi Hai,’ which was about four roommates. Followed by him starring 

as a teenage cricketer in the series ‘Inside Edge’ on Amazon Prime Video between 2017 and 2019. The series was inspired by the Indian Premier League, which was reviewed for the first season for Scroll.in by Devarsi Ghosh, the series maker. He was very happy with his choice of Siddhant Chaturvedi and his co-star Tanuj Virwani, both of whom were his best discoveries. He then reprised his role for the second season in the year 2019.

Siddhant then ventured into a supporting role in Gully Boy as a street rapper, which had caught the attention of the viewers. He won the Filmfare Award for the Best Supporting Actor. He had also acted in the coming-of-age drama Kho Gaye Hum Kahan in 2023, besides the romantic drama ‘Gehraiyaan’ in 2022.

Siddhant Chaturvedi had auditioned for a small role in Brahmastra Part One: Shiva in 2022 and had gotten selected. However, with his father’s advice, he had backed out from the film.

Filmmaker, producer, director, and actor Karan Johar of Dharma Productions had also offered him three film contracts, which he had refused. He claims that he was blacklisted from the Bollywood film industry for refusing smaller roles.

At the success party of the web series, ‘Inside Edge,’ filmmaker Zoya Akhtar spotted him and offered him an audition for her directorial venture, Gully Boy. The film therefore marked his entry and debut in the Hindi film industry. This film was a breakthrough for the street rapper named MC Sher. 

Siddhant is perceived as a handsome, impressive, and charming personality. Though the filmmakers and audience had liked his role in the film ‘Gully Boy,’ Siddhant had career fluctuations between 2020 and now.

In 2021, Siddhant had appeared in a Yash Raj Films movie called Bunty Aur Babli 2 in 2021, the film that had Rani Mukherji costarring with Saif Ali Khan and Sharvari Wagh. The film was a sequel to the original crime comedy film Bunty Aur Babli. However, the film was a commercial failure.

The ‘Gehraiyaan’ in 2022 was about infidelity, whereinhe co-starred with Deepika Padukone and Ananya Panday, and it was released on Amazon Prime Video. He had a very tricky role. Siddhant then featured in the comedy horror film called ‘Phone Bhoot’ with Katrina Kaif and Ishaan Khatter. The audience was impressed with the people, but they also felt Siddhant had essayed a very brash character, which was done well.

Siddhant Chaturvedi appeared next alongside Ananya Panday and Adarsh Gaurav in the coming-of-age film Kho Gaya Hum Kahan in 2023, which was released on the OTT channel. His acting was considered effortless and natural, and the audience and critics felt he had a great screen presence. 

The following year, Siddhant starred in the action film Yudhra, starring opposite Malavika Mohan, which was like a downgrade for him and his work after Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, which had emerged as a success at the box office. 

Siddhant Chaturvedi is to co-star with Tripti Dimri in the remake of the Tamil film called ‘Pariyerum Perumal, which was titled Dhadak 2.

The romantic drama film, for which pre-production began in 2023, is slated for its release in August 2025. The romantic drama film is written and directed by Shazia Iqbal and is being produced by Dharma Productions and Zee Studios with Cloud 9 Pictures. The film is a spiritual sequel to the 2018 film. 

The other venture is with Jaya Bachchan and Wamiqa Gabbi, who are also part of the project, and is called Dil Ka Darwaza Khol Na Darlin, a comedy film.
