The biographical sports drama Dada is based on the extraordinary life of the former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly. The film is gaining its momentum with new exciting star cast. The much-acclaimed actor, Saswata Chatterjee is widely recognised face in the film industry for her unforgettable portrayal as Bob Biswas in the film Kahaani. He joins the film and will essay the role of Sourav’s father, Chandi Ganguly. His joining the cast will further add to the depth to the project is already one of the most awaited sports biopics in Indian cinema.
Headlined by Rajkummar Rao who will essay the role of the legendary cricketer Sourav Ganguly is currently in Mumbai for the shooting before he moves to Kolkata for a major scheduled planned later this month. Saswata has already begun filming alongside the star cast and has support ensemble by Aparajita Auddy that is also taking shape as Sourav’s mother, Nirupa Ganguly while Rahul Dev Bose will portray the role of his elder brother Snehashish Ganguly.

Tanya Maniktala of Kill fame has been finalised for the role of his wife Dona.
