In the middle of a controversy regarding his casting of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in ‘Sardaar Ji 3’, Diljit Dosanjh has vehemently denied reports he was ousted from the war drama ‘Border 2’.
After ‘FWICE’ had asked producers to drop him from the movie owing to cross-border sensitivity.
Dosanjh stays in Border 2 Despite Row over Sardaar Ji 3.
Late on Jul 2, Diljit posted an on set BTS clip from Border 2 to Instagram with him in his military kit, the crew whooping and hooting, and the stirring ‘Sandese Aate Hain’ number playing as the background score. The post confirmed that he is still in the film, starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty.

Actor shares video From Set, Confirms Continued Role
While FWICE had earlier written to the producers and government, asking the former to drop Diljit in the interest of ‘national sensitivity’, sources near the film clarified that almost 50% of Border 2 has already been filmed and that it was ‘logistically not practically feasible’ to replace the actors.
Diljit’s post 'Border 2' and the support he got from the producers seem to have worked in killing the rumors and regaining his clean status on the Republic day release in theatres January 23, 2026.
