‘Ekkis’ Will See Varun Dhawan Turn Into An Agile Soldier

A lot of speculation has been surrounding Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming biopic Ekkis. It was earlier rumoured to be shelved, however the director has confirmed it got delayed due to the pandemic and definitely not shelved. The cast that includes Varun Dhawan in the lead will begin shooting in September-October 2021, as many battle scenes require a certain weather for the filmmaker. 

Varun Dhawan will play the role of real life soldier and Paramvir Chakra winner Arun Khetarpal. The Coolie No. 1 actor while in quarantine had to prepare himself endlessly to be agile, alert and have the mannerisms of a real soldier. He has even met with Arun’s family for the same. Director Sriram Raghavan and Varun have previously worked together in the Yami Gautam starrer Badlapur.
