Film on Kota Rani in the works

Known to be the last Hindu ruler of Jammu & Kashmir, Kota Rani will now come alive on screen soon. Madhu Mantena and Reliance Entertainment are coming together to collaborate on a magnum opus to bring the life of the 13th century ruler to screen, who sacrificed a lot personally to bring about a revolution for Hindus in the region. Apparently on her first night after her marriage to Shah Mir from Swat, she committed suicide.
Some people have even compared her to Cleopatra and its sad that not many people know about one of the greatest female rules of her time. Madhu Mantena has previously produced films like Super 30, Ghajini, Udta Punjab, MukkaBaaz, Shaandaar, and many more. His upcoming movies include the Ranveer Singh starrer ’83.
