Mukkabaaz, a 2017 produced film on Indian sports released in January 2018 is co-written and directed by Anurag Kashyap, jointly produced by Aanand L . Rai for his production house Colour Yellow Productions and Phantom Films. Starring in the film are Vineet Kumar Singh with debutant Zoya Hussain and Ravi Kishan with Jimmy Shergill in the lead roles.
The story starts with Shravan Kumar ( Vineet Kumar Singh) aspires to be the boxer and is in love with the niece of the Head of the Boxing Federation, Bhagwan Das Mishra ( Jimmy Shergill). The film is based on the observations of several sports persons and their experiences and written by Kashyap, Singh along with his sister Mukti Singh coordination with Srinet K. D Satyam and Ranjan Chandel.
It is said, to prepare the script, Singh has also visited the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports where he got trained in boxing for a year and learned the non verbal communication with the sign language from the expert for her role.
