‘Finally, I Am Getting The Work I Aspired For’- Shefali Shah On Her New Innings

Bollywood actress Shefali Shah is one of those rare actresses that surprises us with her every performance. The actress was busy doing projects but no one really noticed until Delhi Crimes on Netflix and the short film ‘Juice’ hit onscreen. Her unmatched talent and screen presence left everyone in awe. On the logic in choosing roles the actress says, “Look, I work on my instinct and gut. When I make a decision, I can’t say at that moment whether I made the right choice. For years, my kids Aaryaman and Maurya, and my husband Vipul asked me, ‘Why are you not taking this project? What didn’t work for you?’ My only response to them was, and continues to be, ‘It didn’t churn my insides.’ It took a while for another show that I felt strongly about to come by after my first show came out. Likewise for films. I am quite used to long gaps. Everything happens on its time. Finally, I am getting the work I aspired for, and I hope it only grows from here. However, when everything is in a state of uncertainty, I feel nothing is costlier than life itself. When we get to the other side of this pandemic, we’ll see how things pan out. It doesn’t bother me that I might have to opt out of something owing to clashing schedules. I’m happy to do whatever is in the best interest of a project.”
Shefali has given us brilliant performances in films like Dil Dhadakne Do starring Priyanka Chopra and Ajeeb Daastaans on Netflix. The actress is currently working on a web project with her husband Vipul Amrutlal Shah.
