Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam’s upcoming legal drama HAQ has achieved a rare feat by receiving censor clearance without a single cut in India, UAE, UK, Australia, and New Zealand. The Junglee Pictures production is all set for a worldwide release on November 7, 2025.

The film has been certified U/A 13+ in India, PG-15 in the UAE, and PG in other countries, signaling approval for its balanced and thought-provoking content. Directed by Suparn Verma, HAQ dives deep into issues surrounding faith, justice, identity, and the Uniform Civil Code under Article 44 of the Indian Constitution.

Inspired by a landmark Supreme Court judgment, the story follows a mother’s powerful legal battle for her and her children’s rights under Section 125 of the CrPC. The film stars debutante Vartika Singh alongside Sheeba Chaddha, Danish Hussain, and Aseem Hattangady in pivotal roles.

Written by Reshu Nath, HAQ continues Junglee Pictures’ tradition of meaningful cinema after acclaimed hits like Raazi, Talvar, Badhaai Ho, and Badhaai Do. Its clean clearance across nations stands as a testament to the film’s balanced portrayal of sensitive themes like triple talaq, gender equality, and constitutional justice.
