Housefull 5, the much-hyped fifth entry in Bollywood’s popular comedy franchise, has officially made its OTT debut. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the film hit the digital screens on August 1, 2025, and is now available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
This installment takes the series into new territory with an offbeat murder-mystery setup aboard a cruise ship, where three men—played by Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Riteish Deshmukh—all claim to be the billionaire's heir named Jolly. As the investigation unfolds, the film offers comedic chaos, love angles, and detective tangles that contributed to its ₹300 crore global box office haul.
A unique feature this time is the dual-version format—Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B—each offering a different twist and a different "killer," adding replay value and excitement for fans.
Prime Video announced the release with a playful social media post featuring the ensemble cast. Now available for free to all Prime subscribers, the film was initially released online with a rental fee.
