Kangana Ranaut will take a short break after wrapping up the Assam schedule of Emergency and after returning from the break will start shooting for the first schedule of Chandramukhi in the first week of December. After this, the actress will start the second schedule of Chandramukhi in January next year after wrapping up the shooting of Emergency. Chandramukhi is a 2005 Tamil horror drama film starring Rajinikanth and Jyothika Saravanan in lead roles. Chandramukhi was a remake of the 2004 Kannada film Aptamitra, while Aptamitra itself was a remake of the 1993 Malayalam film Manichitrathju.
