Kumar Mangat’s Drishyam 2 Runs Into Rough Waters

The 2015 superhit Drishyam starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu was a huge hit. The Malayalam remake is to get a sequel soon which was announced by producer Kumar Mangat, who will be collaborating with Panorama Studios. However Viacom 18 Pictures who had originally produced the first film with Mangat has now raised objection saying the film cannot be made without them as they have rights to it too. The company has filed a lawsuit against Mangat. The latter however confirmed that he willbe making the film for sure with Panorama Pictures and didn’t comment on the legal issues with Viacom. 

 

Drishyam 2 is a Malayalam hit film starring Mohanlal in the lead. There are speculations that Ajay Devgn and Tabu might reprise their role in this film as well. Drishyam was directed by the late filmmaker Nishikant Kamat and produced jointly by Viacom 18, Panarama Pictures and Kumar Mangat.
