One of Bollywood's elegant and beautiful actress Priyanka Chopra’s mother, Madhu Chopra, in a recent interview revealed that Priyanka had refused to wear a two-piece swimsuit during the Miss World pageant event, which was held at the Millennium Dome located in the United Kingdom in the year 2000.
In a conversation with Lehren Retro, Madhu said, "In the previous year, Yukta Mookhey had bagged the title so we had an idea that our chances were very low. Pradip Guha had informed us, 'It had never happened, but it may happen.' Priyanka Chopra was then truly motivated."
Further, Madhu shared how Priyanka Chopra used to avoid doing anything with which she doesn't feel comfortable. "Priyanka's behaviour and her conduct anywhere you see has always been flawless. During the Miss World Pageant's Swimwear competition, also, the organisers asked her to 'Wear a two-piece' Then Priyanka highly opposed to it and said 'Na.' with the intentions of maintaining her professionalism along with the dignity. Actually, they(organisers) duly respected her for this kind gesture by her." Madhu clarified.
Later, Priyanka victoriously won the Miss World Pageant and then after a gap of two years, she made her debut in the film named 'Thamizhan' and further she stepped up in the Bollywood industry with her first film titled 'The Hero: Love Story Of a Spy'
Currently, there are some rumours that Priyanka might be in a lead role in S S Rajamouli's upcoming film and will share the screen with Mahesh Babu. However, an official announcement is yet to come.
