A fresh debate had erupted after the Bollywood superstar Salman Khan had attended the 100 years of the RSS event, drawing both praise as well as criticism on the social media. The conversations on the social media had intensified hence, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde had stepped forward to defend the film actor stating that Salman Khan has Lord Ganesha at his home and he respects our Hindu culture. He addressed it more as an issue for one of the citizens and not for the politics.
Vicky Kaushal and Ranbir Kapoor were also a part of the guest list who attended the celebrations at the New Horizons event in Mumbai.

Salman Khan shared the stage with Vicky Kaushal and Ranbir Kapoor at the function led by RSS chief, Mohan Bhagwat. Critics were soon to question the actor’s participation while supporters had dismissed the unnecessary controversy.
Eknath Shinde, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra had defended Salman Khan
Shinde had rejected the backlash on Salman Khan’s identity as an Indian citizen. He emphasized, whether Salman Khan attends the RSS Event or not attend, why it is discussed. he further stated Salman Khan is an Indian citizen like any of us and he has Lord Ganesha at his home , he respects our culture and so does his family. Shinde stated stressing over public figures should not be simply disregarded into a political narrative for attending a cultural event.
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Event
The event marked a milestone for the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) as it reflects its century long journey and addresses the future direction. Mohan Bhagwat highlighted that Bollywood has been a great influence that holds good for young Indians stating Salman Khan as an example , that the youth and college students want to copy Salman Khan. When asked why they do it, they don’t know . They only know that Salman Khan is doing it !stated Bhagwat.
He ended by saying the celebrities that the people look up to should channelize their popularity with positive social messaging to the young fans and the people. The good values in the society should become a fashion, stated Mohan Bhagwat.
