Having played one of her most popular characters 'Mallikajaan' in the series 'Heeramandi : The Diamond Bazaar' Manisha Koirala happens to be one of those actress who are aging with grace, like an old wine.

The veteran actress emphasized on the need for more substantial roles for older women, asserting that age should not limit one's potential.

The actress opened up on how she faced ageism at an event, where she was sidelined at a round table conference due to her age. While the other male counterparts of the same age were included. Manisha Koirala recalls getting sidelined because of her age as ‘Lots of people think buddhi ho gayi hai’.

The actress threw light on how aging is an issue with women, be it industry or otherwise while they are even trolled but male figures are not inspite of their age.

Koirala asserted that women actors are looked down upon age and laid emphasis on the need for more substantial roles for older women.
