As actor Salman Khan gears up for the much-awaited release ‘Battle of Galwan’ the war drama film, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has finally addressed the issue that certain sectors have raised objections to the film.
Clearing the air, the MEA Body firmly stated that it has no role to play in matters related to filmmaking.

Further, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal responded to a query to the media on Friday regarding the alleged claims and objection. He stated, “As MEA, they understand that a film of this nature is being planned, but issues regarding filmmaking in India are handled by the relevant authorities and MEA has no concern, in this or similar ventures.
About Battle of Galwan
The much talked about movie, Battle of Galwan is directed by Apoorva Lakhia. The film is based on the brutal clash between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley in June 2020. The incident had significantly strained diplomatic ties between the two nations.

Battle of Galwan is scheduled for a theatrical release on Friday April 17, 2026, and continues to generate debates for its sensitive subject and for the fact that it also has a patriotic theme.
