Mumbai schedule of ‘Maidaan’ completed

The second schedule for the Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan was wrapped up in Mumbai recently. The ‘De De Pyaar De’ actor was joined by the lead actress Keerthy Suresh who is making her Bollywood debut with this film. The duo will next be seen in the Kolkatta schedule to begin on 3rd November. Ajay will portray the role of Football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, known to be the founding father of Indian football.

 

The major football scenes were shot amidst a huge set put up at Mukesh Mills in Mumbai. A VFX team also helped to make the most out of the football scenes. Maidaan is directed by Amit Sharma and produced by Akash Chawla, Boney Kapoor and Arunava Joy Sengupta. The film is based on the golden years of Indian football. The film’s screenplay is written by Saiwyn Quadros and the dialogues are written by Ritesh Shah.
