In the wake of the brutal terror attack on the innocent tourists at Pahalgam, the music industry across India has decided to cancel their shows.


The entertainment industry in India has taken a collective pause. The April 22nd tragedy in the peaceful valley of Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir has shocked the nation. AP Dhillon the rapper announced his album release will be postponed in the shadow of the tragedy of Pahalgam. The entertainment industry came together in the wave of the solidarity to mourn the lives lost.

 

Concerts and Events Cancelled Across India in Mourning After Pahalgam Attack


Well known singer Shreya Ghoshal who has been a part of the numerous television shows ,stage performances and concerts called off her Surat Concert which was to be held on Saturday at the Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay Indoor Stadium following the attack. The concert was a part of her ‘All Hearts Tour’. 


Singer Arijit Singh cancelled his concert to be held in Chennai on April 27th after hearing the devastating news. Anirudh Ravichander, music composer postponed the ticket sales of his much-awaited HumKum Tour in Bengaluru . Papon the Assamese Singer and composer also has announced the cancellation of his show slated for April 26th in Ahmedabad, quoting the same reason. 




It is not with just the music industry, but also some of the film actors who chose to cancel their programs. Aamir Khan has chosen not to attend a special screening of his film cult film Andaz Apna Apna which was to be held in Mumbai this week.

 

It is indeed a powerful decision on the part of artists who like the common man, have been badly affected by the senseless killing of the innocent in Pahalgam, Kashmir.
