Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh has recently praised Shah Rukh Khan and Kartik Aaryan, and shared his opinion on nepotism. Neil hails from an elite Bollywood family — he is the grandson of legendary singer Mukesh and the son of playback singer Nitin Mukesh.
In a recent interview with Screen, he expressed that nepotism has never helped him; despite coming from a Bollywood family, he is still struggling to get his next project.
He endorsed talent as the key to success in the industry, stating that no matter how many chances an actor gets, they won’t stand out without it. He said, 'The current generation of stars… look at Shah Rukh Khan sir — isn’t he the benchmark? Isn’t he the idol, not just for being the biggest superstar in the world, but also for being an outsider who came and conquered? We all draw inspiration, even I do, from actors like Shah Rukh sir or Kartik Aaryan, who hails from a non-film family. He has such a simple and nice family. I love his relationship with his mother and father; it’s very refreshing to see that.'
