Set against the backdrop of the Kargil conflict, the series follows a fearless plot of the ambitious drama that is inspired by the Indian Air Force’s pivotal role during the Kargil war in 1999. The series revisits the historic air campaign that proved crucial in supporting the Indian Army and continues to remain one of the most remarkable chapters of the Indian Military force and its history. 


The series follows the fearless pilots of the Golden Arrows Squadron as they go to undertake the dangerous mission at the world’s highest battle field. Actors Jimmy Shergill stars as the Wing Commander B. S, Dhanoa, ‘Tony’ while Siddharth will portray as the courageous Squadron Leader Ajay Ahuja.  Beyond the intense aerial combat, the story highlights the emotional struggles and the unwavering strength of the families waiting for their loved ones to return home.


The makers have collaborated closely with the Indian Air Force veterans and their families connected during the operations.  The series was filmed across the Air Force Bases using real aircraft and military infrastructure. The film promises an immersive and most realistic portrayals of the mission.


The series received guidance from Air Chief Marshal, Retd B.S.Dhonoa . 


Netflix India Vice President Monika Shergill has described the project as one of the platform’s most ambitious productions by Indian producer.  Praising its extensive support of the Indian Air Force the dedicated star cast and the creative teams who have brought alive the story.  


Directed by Oni Sen, who had the goal to present the mission with honesty, emotional dept and while paying tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of the brave soldiers and the nation’s real heroes. 


D. S Dhonoa the Air Chief Marshal (Retd) believed the story is long overdue and hopes it will inspire many young Indians to come forward and join the Indian Air Force.  


The series is created by Abhijeet Singh Parmar and Kushal Srivastava.  Operations Safed Sagar starring Dia Mirza, Abhay Verma, Prajakta Koli, Adil Hussain , Mihir Ahuja, Taaruk Raina, Arnav Bhasin and Amrita Bagchi.  The action and emotional storytelling promises a heartfelt tribute to the courageous soldiers who sacrificed their lives to keep the spirits of unity, integrity, patriotism alive and the sacrifices of the Indian Air Force Warriors.
