Actress Nimrat Kaur paid a touching tribute to her late father, Major Bhupender Singh, by visiting his newly built memorial in Kashmir on what would have been his 73rd birthday. Major Bhupender Singh, who was posthumously awarded the Shaurya Chakra, sacrificed his life while fighting militants in Kashmir on January 23, 1994.

Sharing glimpses from her visit, Nimrat expressed deep emotion and gratitude in her post. “A year ago, on Papa’s birth anniversary, his journey was immortalised at his birthplace, Mohanpura, Rajasthan by the Indian Army. What we didn’t know then was that within a year, we would witness his memory honoured on the soil where he was martyred,” she wrote.
The actress shared that she and her mother visited both the Srinagar Cantonment memorial and the Titanic View Point on NH 44, dedicated to her father. Nimrat Kaur thanked the Border Roads Organization for their efforts, calling the experience “transcendent.”
